JEDDAH: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) has established a center for mental health care in northern Syria, state-run news agency SPA said.
The center admits patients with psychiatric conditions who had been left with no care due to the bombardment of their sheltering centers in Aleppo and other areas.
The project aims to serve 1,200 direct patients and 7,200 indirect ones in the city of Azaz, north of Aleppo, by offering protection and decent living standards for mental health patients.
It will provide them with appropriate accommodation, safety and food, as well as distributing clothes and providing medical services, psychotherapy sessions and other sporting and creative activities for the center’s patients.
They will also communicate with their relatives and address the possibility of caring for them at their homes for patients with non-critical conditions.
